
This winter has been crappy. Waffles make it better. Game of Thrones references up the ante. This came to me after reading about 100 pages of A Song of Ice and Fire.
Ingredients:
1 cup of Kodiak Cakes mix
1 scoop protein powder
1 egg + 2 whites
1 cup plain Almond Milk
Topping:
1/2 cup frozen berries microwaved with 1 TBS sugar (nuke for 60 seconds and stir)
0% Fage Greek yogurt (add 1 teaspoon of cinnamon)
Pre-heat waffle iron. Mix dry ingredients and then add in wet. Batter will be thick. Spray non-stick spray on waffle iron and add waffle batter according to manufacturer's directions. I had a Belgian waffle maker and I used a solid 1/2 cup.
Top waffles with 2 Tablespoons of Greek yogurt, 2 Tablespoons of berry syrup
Add 1 TBS of peanut butter and increase by 90 Calories if it's been a bad week.
Makes about 4.
Each waffle 200 Calories, 12 g protein, 5 g fiber, 25 g Carbohydrates
