Sunday Funday: French Toast and Legos

Oh, Florida Gulf Coast is ruining your life right now too?  Phew.  Glad, I'm not the only one.   I wanted to address two things today: 1.  Paleo desserts need to be extinct and 2.  French Toast and the gluten that comes with it is worth it.

Photo: Egg white French toast. 200 Calories.
Ingredients:
2 slices of low calories whole wheat bread (I use the stuff from Trader Joe's)
4 egg whites
1 tsp of vanilla
dash of cinnamon
1 tsp of some kind of sweetener (sugar, stevia, agave, honey, whatever)

Now WTF do I do?  Drink your coffee.  Mix egg whites-sweetener in a bowl, soak each slice of bread in the batter for 2 minutes and transfer to a skillet that has been heated to medium heat and sprayed with Pam non-stick for grilling or high heat.  Cook on each side for 2-3 minutes.  Top with 2 tsp butter and a fleeting drizzle of syrup.  This is a 200 Calorie breakfast here people.

If you notice the following photos have nothing to do with this blog.  If you look close, you'll realize they're Legos.  If you've been to Ohio, you might recognize this as the Columbus skyline.  There are about 3 buildings in what Columbus defines as a 'skyline' but this trip to the art museum was pretty awesome.
