Peanut Butter: A Love Story

Road trip through Ohio
It's about that time again...back to school, when we're glad to send the offspring back for another academic year yet we curse the school buses interrupting our morning commute.  I was a notoriously picky eater.  It was quite Dickensonian to say it was the best of times...worst of times and well you get the picture.  One thing I have never tired of is peanut butter.   I found myself admidst the peaceful Midwestern not-so-tropical island of Put-In-Bay which is one of the few places that you can cheaply leave it all...literally your car is on the mainland and you ferry to the island.  We spend a quick day there/night and headed back to Kent and our favorite smoothie place, Pulp.  They put Orange Julius, Smoothie King, and the other chains to shame.  No taste of gritty whey protein and happy sipping.
Which lead us through Kent...

To make the PB wrap (low-calorie version):
Spread 1 TBS of PB on a whole wheat wrap (I like the Archer Farm's ones from Target, they're 120 Calories and don't taste like cardboard).  Combine 2 TBS of vanilla yogurt with 1 TBS of granola and a TBS of raisins (leave 'em out if you hate 'em), top the tortilla with that and 1/2 a banana for a fast lunch or quick breakfast.

and this glorious protein shake,

Protein Packer (40 grams of protein)

Soy milk, peanut butter, chocolate, bananas with whey and soy protein....so tasty, make at home too.
