Red Velvet Smoothie

Happy 2013..er 2014...whatever.  Hope you didn't spend it with your head in a toilet or at least made it to see the ball drop.  The accountant was nice enough to wake me up at 11:55 p.m. to see the ball drop (why do they build it up so, I'm never impressed) and I went back to bed until about 7 a.m.

This smoothie won't cure your hangover or the 10 juice followers you subscribe to on Instagram (bummer) who are juicing ginger and cucumber thinking it'll undo half a bottle of Grey Goose.  Nope.

This is an innocent, quick, meal replacement that happens to be vegan while at it.


Red Velvet Smoothie

2/3 cup frozen strawberries (or mixed berries)
2 Tablespoons of cocoa powder
1 Tablespoon of peanut butter
1 cup of almond milk (or regular milk)

In a blender combine all ingredients and blitz until smooth.  Pour into a wine glass if you're classy like me.
